For best results dilute the stock single-element antimony standard solution 1.000 gram per litter (CPA No C050100) to levels appropriate to the operating range of the instrument using. The working solution must be freshly prepared.

A calibration blank is used to establish the analytical calibration curve; the laboratory blank is used to assess possible contamination from the sample preparation procedure and to assess spectral background.

Calibration blank—Consists of 1% (v/v) nitric acid in high-purity analytical water.

For analyse of antimony by Graphite Furnace using of Palladium-Magnesium modifier (CPA No MPD01) is recomended. Maximum Ash Temperature 1000^oC with chemical modifier. Typical response (Argon): 20 μl of 50 ppb Sb solution + 5 μl modifier gives about 0.45 Abs.
