For best results dilute the stock single-element bismuth standard
solution 1.000 gram per litter (CPA No C008100) to
levels appropriate to the operating range of the instrument using. The working
solution must be freshly prepared.
A calibration blank is used to establish the analytical calibration
curve; the laboratory blank is used to assess possible contamination from the
sample preparation procedure and to assess spectral background.
Calibration blank—Consists of 1% (v/v) nitric acid in high-purity analytical
water.

Bi solution gives about 0.25 Abs.
For complex samples and/or matrixes Palladium-Magnesium
modifier (CPA No MPD01) is recommended. Maximum Ash Temperature 900oC
with chemical modifier. Use this solution for
addition to blanks, calibration standards and samples.
